19 April 2016

Bookings for Royal Caribbean 2017-2018 season in Australia, including the return of line's Ovation of the Seas, open on Thursday.

MD RCL Cruises Australia and New Zealand, Adam Armstrong, said the company will have larger ships and more capacity than any other line over the local summer season. Armstrong added a highlight of the season is more overnight calls.

Explorer of the Seas, Ovation of the Seas, Radiance of the Seas and Voyager of the Seas will operate 66 sailings, ranging from 2- to 23-nights. From Sept 2017 through to Apr 2018 the 4 ships will call at 46 different ports across the South Pacific, Australia, New Zealand, Asia and North America with departures from Auckland, Fremantle, Honolulu, Seattle, Singapore and Sydney.

Voyager of the Seas and Explorer of the Seas will specialise in South Pacific cruises, while Ovation of the Seas and Radiance of the Seas will focus on Australia and New Zealand voyages.

Explorer of the Seas will make a couple of overnight calls at Suva on repositioning cruises at the commencement of season and her return to Seattle in 2018.

Radiance of the Seas and Ovation of the Seas overnight in Adelaide during sailings to Tasmania, giving travelers more time to spend in nearby wine regions of Barossa and Clare Valley.

Legend of the Seas, which was homeported in Brisbane in 2015-2016,  will be deployed in Europe at the end of 2016-2017 season.
