21 March 2016

French river cruise line CroisiEurope, that has been expanding fastly to English-speaking guests, announced the addition of four ships to its fleet in 2017 on the Mekong, Douro, Rhine and Danube Rivers.

The new ships are in addition to river boats debuting in spring 2016: the 80-passenger paddle wheel Elbe Princesse, designed to sail complicated Elbe River; and a couple of 22-passenger barges, Daniele, for Burgundy rivers and Deborah, which is planned to ply Briare Canal in Upper Loire Valley.

The new Douro, yet unnamed, ship will be company's 5th in Portugal. It will carry 132 passengers and feature 3 decks and a pool. Sailings from Porto begin in 2017.

Indochine II, announced in 2015, will begin cruising the Mekong River in 2017. The vessel will carry 60 passengers in cabins with private balconies. It will be the fifth CroisiEurope ship on the Mekong.

For Rhine and Danube, the company builds two boats of varying size. Symphonie II, slated for April 2017, will be able to accommodate 106 guests in 54 cabins. In June 2017, the line will launch Douce France II, featuring 68 rooms for 135 passengers.
